So since moving to canada I haven’t had the money to buy my usual mac studio fix so when it ran out I had to resort to using “drugstore” foundation. Now there’s nothing wrong with cheaper brands of make up but I just prefer the coverage of mac studio fix and I also believe that if there is some thing you should spend a lot of money on make up wise it is foundation as eyeshadows,mascara a etc can be duped.
But back to the point in the post, I saw a deal where I could buy 2 cover girl clean foundations for $10cad which came to $12cad with tax. Now any Canadians out there will know that’s a bargain so my little cheap hat was on and I pounced and bought it. So for the first week or so of wearing this it was very hot out so I blamed that for it not lasting. Lately the weather has cooled a lot in the morning especially (snow is on its way eeek) so I now have come to the conclusion that this foundation has very poor staying power. It seems to be a very watery consistency when applying it and this is proven in how soaked my brush feels when applying. I would usually have dry skin at home in ireland but since I’ve been here I’ve definitely moved to the combination category what with the climate change, chemicals in the water and maybe a little bit of stress. This has made it hard for me to find foundations with strong staying power as around my nose and t-zone area it’s gone by about mid day.
So in conclusion I wouldn’t recommend this foundation at all as I rather a foundation that doesn’t need much touch up throughout the day. If anyone would like to see a video of proof on this let me know and I will make one.
I have bought anther drugstore foundation,Rimmel clean finish matte foundation, to see maybe if id be better with a matte foundation and I also got the stay matte powder with it so wish me luck. I’ll update next week on how that goes!!

Hi guys,
So I got bored again and decided to play make up face lol. So I’ve done a red and purple smokey eye using the naked2 palette and my sleek storm idivine palette. I’m not sure if you can get the sleek palette anymore but you can heck http://www.cloud10beauty.com and see if they have it but if not the sleek palettes are amazing. They’re really pigmented and so cheap for what they do too. I’ve had my palette for years and it looks a little worse for wear since the mirror is broke but it’s still got amazing eyeshadows. The naked2 palette is a great palette but then it is on the expensive side coming in at around $55cad I think and about €37 at home,they are estimates though.
But have a look at what I came up with and let me know if you’d like a tutorial.

So rihanna has released her new collection for Mac,funnily enough in time for Christmas. It consists of lipsticks in some shocking colours, some eyeshadow quads, lip glosses and of course brushes. She has collaborated with a mac a couple of times now but this is the most extensive line she’s produced and the brushes are pretty cute.
I have been in and looked at it but will be purchasing soon and will do a full review then on my purchases.
On another note ill soon be making videos once I’ve got the hang of editing them and I will post a blog post to match each video and link it in the post also so keep an eye out guys.

So I was bored sitting in on a night alone and played with my make up like a child. I have very limited make up since emigrating as other things took priority in packing and money hasn’t been pouring in since I have been here so I have been relying on my naked2 palette and my sleek storm palette.
The look in the picture, I did using my naked2 palette only, nothing else.
I think it would be a nice look for an evening out in autumn and I’ve paired it with my new sephora lip pencil in a berry colour but it would be nice with a nude lip or a red lip even. Sometimes it’s better to pair a strong eye with a nude lip but I say have fun with make up at night and express yourself.
The sleek palettes can be purchased from http://www.cloud10beauty.com or purchased at super drug in ireland and the uk, and come in array of colours both matte and shimmer, and the naked2 pallettes can be purchased from sephora or the bay and most department stores that stock Urban Decay.
The rest of my make up is foundation by cover girl, mascara by Chanel, eyeliner by Rimmel, bronzer by borjouis and blush gingerly by mac.

Ok so I’ve been seeing a lot of girls sporting the autumn berry colours now that were coming into autumn (or fall as they call it here) and I thought I’d jump on the bandwagon.
So after taking a little walk into sephora I saw that alllll the girls in there were wearing these berry colours so I purchased a mini lip liner by sephoras own brand make up line. At $9CAD it was a bargain really!!

I’ve done a swatch on my hand as well as on my lips so hopefully you guys can get an idea of the actual colour. Now I really really like this and I put it al over my lips I didn’t just line them but I’m definitely gonna go back and get the full size and a lipstick to match because it plumped out my lips nicely.

So guys get out to sephora or even a cheaper brand in boots or shoppers drug Mart if you’re in Canada and get on the autumn berry train!!
